The Edward Hyde Show: 275 : Nine down, 356 to go

"Sometimes I get to feelin’, I was back in the old days - long ago
When we were kids when we were young, things seemed so perfect - you know
The days were endless we were crazy we were young,
The sun was always shinin’ - we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don’t know,
The rest of my life’s been just a show."

--Freddie Mercury, These are the days of our lives.

Episode 275 : Nine down, 356 to go

'Bijapur, the Badami circuit and Hampi' is what I had to say when asked where I went last month.

A trip to Badami was always going to happen with Hampi. Just that for December last year, I had my heart set on going to Puri and cross out three out of four places in the Char Dham.

Sadly it was not to be. It only re-inforced the irrational belief in me that some people out there are very envious of my travel plans.

Like every other year, this trip too taught me something.

That in spite of being a sensitive and understanding man, the one women often like to talk about, underneath it all there is still a part of you that thinks like any other man.

No matter how much you deny it, it is there and it will surface in ways you least expect or want.
