The Edward Hyde Show: 309 : Quo vadis?

"Sometimes I get to feelin’, I was back in the old days - long ago
When we were kids when we were young, things seemed so perfect - you know
The days were endless we were crazy we were young,
The sun was always shinin’ - we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don’t know,
The rest of my life’s been just a show."

--Freddie Mercury, These are the days of our lives.

Episode 309 : Quo vadis?

'What we had in common - our restlessness, our impassioned spirits, and a love for the open road' --Ernesto "Che" Guevara de la Serna

In Xanadu, a book written by William Dalrymple, describes a 12000-mile journey of the author as he traced the route taken by Marco Polo from Jerusalem to Shangdu (or Xanadu).

Diarios de motocicleta (or The motorcycle diaries), a movie based on the book by the same name, describes an 8000-mile journey of two young men from Argentina to Venezuela.

All I ask for is a 1000-mile road trip on a motorcycle that has clocked a little under 90000 kms in the last 6 years. It should have clocked more, but sometimes life gets in the way.

I try not to succumb to the restlessness that the book and the movie contribute to, remembering the promise of two weeks made to the motorcycle and the camera.

Where to, is what I have to decide.
