The Edward Hyde Show: 53 : Future curious

"Sometimes I get to feelin’, I was back in the old days - long ago
When we were kids when we were young, things seemed so perfect - you know
The days were endless we were crazy we were young,
The sun was always shinin’ - we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don’t know,
The rest of my life’s been just a show."

Episode 53 : Future curious

'Naan moped vaangu ponein,
Oru lorry vaangi vandein.'

So went the lines of a TVS Champ ad from a long time ago. It means, I went to buy a moped and ended up buying a lorry.

Two weekends ago, I went to Spencer's plaza to buy an electric razor so that maintaining sideburns would be easy. For the record, the sideburns are off because I got too lazy to maintain them. Jo, you are not allowed to say anything.

I digressed.

In my hunt for the perfect razor, I got distracted and ended up buying a digital camera. A Kodak EasyShare Z700. Before anybody offers suggestions on what I should have bought, let me state that it was an impulsive purchase. And from personal experiences, impulsive purchases have never let me down. Even when they looked disappointing in the beginning.

Last weekend, I went hunting for a tripod and got myself an Olympus 3-section tripod, a camera bag and a battery-and-charger pack. Can be classified as additional impulsive purchases.

As I lugged my purchases through the three phases in the plaza, I was reminded of something I read somewhere a few months ago.

A general prediction for my zodiac sign that warned me of excessive buying in the month of February. It also said I should watch what I am saying as the possibility of being misunderstood or ambiguous is high.

Not that I go by astrological predictions that are general in nature. Or even specific for that matter. I read them for the sole purpose of entertainment.

So far it seems to have come true.

What is interesting is what I remember of the remaining.

That post-March people will get charmed by whatever I say (!!), especially when I speak my mind and refuse to get affected.

That's new!

Now I am curious to see whether that will happen at all.
