Episode 169 : Highway to hell

Two nights in a row, I returned home with a nice buzz in my head. The second time, I stumbled into the elevator, jabbed at the button for my floor, did a little jig as my iPod blasted music into my ears, fumbled with the door key and collapsed happily onto my bed. Just to savour the nice and happy feeling of being high... before proceeding to take of my shoes and socks! I am on the highway to hell.

I once stated that I missed too many chances for my own good and that I intended to make good on them. Almost two years hence, I get the feeling I should have done a lot better. Am I being hard on myself? I do not know; I only know I am on the highway to hell.

There are times when you want to share the little things that happen to you. A message here, a message there, a message now and a message then. Why do I do it when I am better off being not so social? Having been there more than once, I know the pitfalls. Won't I ever learn? I do not know, but somehow I am convinced I am on the highway to hell.

    "highway to hell" : Somehow it doesn't sound like the party those lyrics at the end of the post would have us believe..

    Get off the road before it drags you under!
