The Edward Hyde Show: 170 : They, Robots

"Sometimes I get to feelin’, I was back in the old days - long ago
When we were kids when we were young, things seemed so perfect - you know
The days were endless we were crazy we were young,
The sun was always shinin’ - we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don’t know,
The rest of my life’s been just a show."

--Freddie Mercury, These are the days of our lives.

Episode 170 : They, Robots

A week ago, I got a mail from Amazon.

Dear Amazon.com Customer,

As someone who's purchased from our Toys & Games Store at Amazon.com, you might be interested in checking out our current selection of Transformers toys, video games, bikes, and more. "Transformers: The Movie" is definitely going to be one of the blockbusters of summer (if not the entire year), so make sure your child gets in on the excitement now!

I smiled. Those were the days, when peer pressure entered the life of Edward Hyde. Getting a Transformer robot in India was impossible; at least they weren't available in stores like He-Man or G.I Joe toys.

When I heard an aunt was returning from the U.S, I had only one request. One Transformer robot, just one. Any one will do.

And I got Sixshot. Suddenly, I became more sought after than the boy with the largest collection of Transformer robots. Sixshot was cool. Apparently he still is.

Those childhood days, they beckon me. I think I'll play with it today.
