The Edward Hyde Show: 250 : Ideas

"Sometimes I get to feelin’, I was back in the old days - long ago
When we were kids when we were young, things seemed so perfect - you know
The days were endless we were crazy we were young,
The sun was always shinin’ - we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don’t know,
The rest of my life’s been just a show."

--Freddie Mercury, These are the days of our lives.

Episode 250 : Ideas

Ideas in my head
Ideas for others
To suggest what they could do

It was some time in March last year. A friend had come down to visit and dragged me to Commercial Street.

'I want to buy something for her da. Give me ideas'

Ask me about books or music, I'll take you to book shops. Taking me to Commercial Street and asking for suggestions is not my glass of lemonade.

'You think this is a good idea. Or that?'

'How about this...?'

'I don't know da... I don't know if she will like it'

Soon I was exhausted and began to get cranky. He sensed it and we had something to eat. By then he had an idea of what he wanted.

He thought I was getting cranky because of fatigue. What he didn't know that I was getting irritated at myself for never being able to think of the right gift for a special someone.

Ideas in my head
Ideas for others
None that tell me what to do
