The Edward Hyde Show: 318 : Au Léh- Day 6

"Sometimes I get to feelin’, I was back in the old days - long ago
When we were kids when we were young, things seemed so perfect - you know
The days were endless we were crazy we were young,
The sun was always shinin’ - we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don’t know,
The rest of my life’s been just a show."

Episode 318 : Au Léh- Day 6

How do I describe what I felt when I first saw Sonamarg? Or the trepidation before ascending the steep and very dusty Zozila pass? Or the elation when Garud took it in its stride? Or the amusement when a guy on a Yamaha Fazer asked me if I could start his stalled bike (I was amused because I know nothing about starting stalled bikes)?

Or how I chatted up two armymen on the pass because I heard them speak in Malayalam? Or how the pass is all rock and dust? Or how it was fun overtaking the same convoy of army trucks over and over again?

Or about how rocky Kargil is, and how we witnessed a much longer convoy of cars in a celebration in the town?

I guess words will never be enough.
