The Edward Hyde Show: 354 : Untitled

"Sometimes I get to feelin’, I was back in the old days - long ago
When we were kids when we were young, things seemed so perfect - you know
The days were endless we were crazy we were young,
The sun was always shinin’ - we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don’t know,
The rest of my life’s been just a show."

--Freddie Mercury, These are the days of our lives.

Episode 354 : Untitled

They say all it takes is a single step. Except that in my case, I had to break that single step into a series of tiny baby steps.

One step up and two steps back

But I was never sure if I was doing the right thing. It felt the correct thing to do, and at the same time there was an unwillingness to make a break with the past as if it would turn me into a Jekyll-sort of person.

Once I took the last step, it felt different. I saw a clear blue sky even when the evening rain descended on Bangalore.

It was a Bruce Springsteen-Mark Knopfler kind of weekend with memories, nostalgia, and a gradual willingness to let go of the past.
