Episode 153 : Hyde in America, Part X

All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go

I was so comfortable in Bangalore that I was a little unwilling to board the flight to Frankfurt.

I liked the weather in Massachusetts so much that after only 5 days of staying there, I did not want to leave.

I liked driving the car in California so much that now I don't want to leave. The stay in California wasn't that exciting, but driving around helped. I guess the only reason I extended my stay by a week was to drive around a little longer.

But the dawn is breakin'
It's early morn
The taxi's waitin'
He's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome
I could die

But alas, my work is over and I cannot think of more excuses.

Earlier today I bid adieu to the car and tomorrow I will bid adieu to the country.

My bike is waiting for me in Madras, newly painted and serviced. Somehow the thought of riding it doesn't excite me. I suppose when I don my newly purchased riding jacket, pants and gloves, I will begin to feel normal again.

But, I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

It's back to the humdrum of daily life and the chaos in it.

    Hey, gracias for the link. The interactive map's quite interesting! Is that entire stretch only 17 miles?! It sure looks longer.

    oops - ki just read this - sorry i must have sounded like an ass on messenger :D

    i hated the states so much that i always assume that everyone would be glad to get outta there

    but i am sure u'll be back there soon enough - dont you worry!

    have been doing more than 12 hours a day in the lab - brains polite centre has been over taken by emergency services
