The Edward Hyde Show: 215 : Saying hello, waving goodbye

"Sometimes I get to feelin’, I was back in the old days - long ago
When we were kids when we were young, things seemed so perfect - you know
The days were endless we were crazy we were young,
The sun was always shinin’ - we just lived for fun
Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don’t know,
The rest of my life’s been just a show."

--Freddie Mercury, These are the days of our lives.

Episode 215 : Saying hello, waving goodbye

'So it is the 31st, isn't it?' I asked.

'No, 8th' she said.

'8th? Isn't 31st your last working day?'

'No, I am extending it by a week'

I sighed. 'I thought I could manage ten days. Now I have to bear with you for an extra week!'

And after a pause, I added 'I want to say good riddance, but I'll be nice to you this time'

She rolled her eyes.

I did not want to say how much I would miss giving and getting retorts, how much I loved the verbal sparring we indulged in. Somehow I could not.

It happens every time- we hit off well, the girl gets married and leaves the company.

With a promise to keep in touch.

They all say that.
